What is DVD?

DVD

Digital Video (or Versatile) Discs are able to give you first class digital picture and sound quality and have the added advantage of an interactive menu system.

In our Right Track 1 programme, for example, the programme runs for over 2 hours.

It has four main sections and 18 sub-sections with easy menus to give you immediate access to any section of the programme.

All our DVDs are glass-mastered DVD-ROMs - the same format as is used for DVD movies.

This ensures that our discs will play on all UK players.

There is no region code to limit the area where the programmes can be veiwed but some American standard DVD players may not be able to handle the British TV standard we use to make the programmes.

However, the discs will play anywhere in the world on any PC or Apple Mac with a DVD drive and player software. These days, this is often fitted as standard to most computers.

We use dual-layer DVDs.

This technology gives us almost twice the storage area on one side of the disc. In this way, we can retain broadcast television picture and sound quality for the full length of each of our programmes.

I must thank you for your very prompt delivery of both of these wonderful DVD's. Although I missed the mid-day deadline, both were still delivered to me within a couple of days.

I have found the content of both 5 & 6 invaluable, with easy to follow instructions and ideas, that will inspire to go on and start landscaping, with a lot more confidence. I would certainly recommend these DVD's to anyone taking up railway modelling.
